Privacy (POPIA)
NavIQ is a navigation co-pilot. We do not sell personal information and we do not show adverts.
Essential storage on your device runs the map, last route, and voice preference.
Optional analytics record interaction types, such as a route request, for up to 30 days. They use a private device cookie and contain no search text, name, email or route coordinates. Choose Essential only to leave analytics off.
NavIQ learns your usual roads on this device. Optional trip-intelligence sync separately asks permission before sending trip origin, destination, time band and usage counts. Server records expire after 30 days. The NavIQ panel can export or erase this device's retained events. Erasing or withdrawing a purpose's consent deletes its records; a failed server request is shown for retry. Hosting logs and backups follow the hosting operator's retention.
Sign-in is at ai.elara-cortex.com. NavIQ does not keep passwords. When the identity service verifies your account, saved routes can sync between your signed-in devices. Cloud and device copies are separate from trip-intelligence events; delete saved routes in route history to remove them from cloud sync.
Live trip or asset sharing starts only after you choose to share. Anyone with its private viewing link can see the latest shared position, accuracy, destination and ETA. The session expires within 24 hours; Stop sharing clears its position and revokes updates. Only the latest fix is retained. Browser closure may prevent a stop request reaching the server, so the viewer also displays stale and expired states.
When you accept navigation terms or send a trip rating, NavIQ records that action and the terms version or rating. This device record does not verify your identity. A connection failure is shown rather than claiming server persistence.
WeatherIQ uses Open-Meteo forecasts for the points on your route. Rain radar uses RainViewer when available.
A WeatherIQ subscription stores the place, the company representative, the site supervisor, and the people on the site, plus the phone numbers and email addresses they give for WhatsApp, SMS, and email. Stripe stores the card. WeatherIQ stores the Stripe customer id, the subscription id, and the invoice link. WeatherIQ does not store the card number.

Cookies
Essential cookies and local storage run the map and account features. Optional analytics stay off until you tap Allow. A private HttpOnly cookie lets this browser manage its own retained events; it expires after 30 days. Trip-intelligence sync needs its own permission and can be disabled independently. Private tracking tokens grant access to a shared session and are not account passwords.
Terms of use
NavIQ is advisory driving information, not a substitute for the road, signs, or your judgment. Start drive still asks you to agree before spoken guidance. Routes use OpenStreetMap via public OSRM. Arrival facts are shown only when local evidence names something you did not already type.
